Chapter 8: Cinema that needs to be different?

This chapter discusses the various attempts to make films in territories outside North America, Europe and the larger Asian countries. It ranges from concepts of ‘Third Cinema’ from the 1960s-80s to contemporary Nollywood, starting in Cuba before moving to Sub-Saharan Africa.
