About the book

This blog supports the The Global Film Book published by Routledge in 2014. The book is designed as a ‘learning guide’ for film and media students. It is also accessible by anyone interested in global film who isn’t a student – it isn’t a textbook written for a specific course.

The blog offers a range of extra resources to supplement the chapters in the book and expands and extends the range of films, film industries and filmmaking practices covered. It also provides the links to other web resources for each chapter in the book (note that weblinks are not permanent and can be deleted or changed by webmasters).

The blog is organised with a page for each chapter of the book and then a series of regular postings which are categorised and related to chapter contents.

This blog can be used by anybody interested in global film, but, of course it works best with the book which is available from all good booksellers. Here’s a link to the book on the Routledge website.

The blog is being updated on a regular basis so please bear with me if the resources you require are not yet linked here.

Most of the older posts have been transferred from The Case for Global Film which carries extra material from a range of writers.
