About the author

Roy Stafford has been involved in film and media education since the 1970s. He helped to establish courses in further education and university extra-mural classes.

He has written widely in a variety of educational journals including Screen Education, Screen, Initiatives, Media Education JournalLiberal Education/General Educator/Post-16 Educator, in the picture, PoV and also The Guardian and Times Educational Supplement. He has written regularly in Media Magazine for A Level students.
